HipHopoPotamus

"HipHopoPotamus" is a traditional AWP machine with nudge and hold functionality. It has a hi lo style feature with a feature board which the player moves across with every successful bet.

Game Description
“HipHopopotamus” is a 3 reel machine with trail feature entry. The reel bands have overlaid
number symbols and bonus symbols on them which add to the trail.

Symbols and Reel Wins
There are 9 different reel symbols with the following reel win payouts.

Feature Description

  1. The feature starts by gaining the 8th position on the trail using numbers and bonuses.
  2. The feature itself is a Hi/Lo game.
  3. There is a 4th Reel that displays a number.
  4. The player choose to wager higher or lower on the number, and if successful they move across the board in the direction displayed next to the number they wagered to.
  5. If a bet is unsuccessful, the feature loses and returns to the reels.
  6. The player can either collect their current square. Nudges will autonudge in the best available win.
  7. Cash is obviously credited to the player, and any feature collected is played out and any win credited to the player.

Trail

There are numbers on the reels which add into a trail with 7 positions. If the player gets the trail complete the feature is activated. There are also some overlaid bonuses on the reels which will award one of the following bonuses, played out on the trail.

Trail Hold

The machine will randomly choose to hold the trail at the current position. This will be shown before the player presses spin.

Feature Game

The feature is a single reel Hi/Lo game with a matrix board. Each number on the 4th Hi/Lo reel has an arrow pointing either up or right. When the player wins a hi/lo bet they move in that direction across and up the matrix. They can choose to collect the current square they are on or bet again to move further on. The prizes of course increase in value the further they travel. The player always starts at the bottom left hand square, which is always collectable without them gambling.

There are also 3 change number lights, lit by the above change number bonus. The player can press the change number button when required to spin the Hi/Lo reel to a better number, using 1 light up at a time. The game ends when the player either collects their current square or loses a hi/lo bet without having an extra life.

Nudges
The server may want to give the player the opportunity to nudge a reel – up to 15 nudges can be given.

Nudge/ Reel Win/ Numbers/ Bonus interaction
All numbers add to the trail. When the trail is at the start position, this starts the feature
immediately. When a reel win is nudged in, it pays immediately and cancels the rest of the nudges. If a reel win and a trail win occurs at the same time from nudges, spinning in etc then both are awarded. The reel win is put in the players win bank and the feature is played out as normal and is added to the original win in the bank. If a Bonus and a reel win occur at the same time, then if the bonus extends the trail to the feature start position, then the above reel win/trail win scenario is true and is processed in the same manner.

Nudge Bank Hold
This feature can be activated if the player chooses to spin without using all his nudges. Then the unused nudges are carried over to the next spin. This feature is shown to the user by the “nudge bank hold” light flashing when the spin button is pressed.

Nudge Bank Extra Interest
This will only occur in conjunction with Nudge Bank Hold and will increase the number of nudges held in the the nudge bank at the end of the spin, before the player gets the chance to nudge.

Bonus Funk You Up
Bonus “Funk You Up” is randomly awarded when the player gets a losing spin. After the reels stop spinning, the then it is activated. The alpha dapples through all the different reel symbols, the player stops one and win that award

Shifta
At the end of any losing spin, they may be awarded a Shifta, which will keep reel 1, 2 or 3 where it is and step the other 2 reels down until a win occurs on the winline.

Holds
On a lose the player may be offered holds on the next spin.

Triple Hold
This feature lasts 4 spins if the player holds the correct reels, if not then the feature is stopped. Below is the sequence of the 3 spins and what the player has to hold or not. Player is offered holds and holds 2 reels with the same symbol.

  1. Spin 1. With just 1 reel spinning, a symbol other than that held is spun in. Player should hold the same two reels, with the same symbols on them
  2. Spin 2. Again With just 1 reel spinning, a symbol other than that held is spun in. Player should hold the same two reels.
  3. Spin 3. The matching symbol is spun in and awards the reelwin

Scratches
Whenever the player spins the reels, there is a random chance of adding 1 or more Scratch arrows. Any Scratches to be added are added before the reels spin, as soon as the player presses the spin button. The random chance is controlled by a table in the config. Any Scratches are held over every game, thereby giving the player a clear reason not to stop playing when they have some. They are activated every time a reel win occurs. Scratches hold over every game, thereby giving the player a clear reason not to stop playing when
they have alot of them.

Features
Busta Hippo
The awards are dappled around whilst the hold buttons flash. The player then chooses a hold button, at which point an award will be lit on the award panel. The reels then spin round and will stop with a Hippo symbol on the winline, which if on the same reel as the hold button which was chosen, awards the stopped award on the pay table.

Funk You Up
The alpha dapples through all the different reel symbols, the player stops one and wins that award.

Rappers Delight
The machine spins in a reel win and pays it to the player.

Beats, Rhymes & Cash
This is a stoppa win feature which dapples the paytable two at a time. The player must hit the stop button to choose a group of two wins from the paytable. The player wins the combined value of all lit wins. These are credited directly to the Player without spinning them in.

Like a Jungle
Reel Skill. “Like a Jungle” is a reel-based feature in which the view returns to the reel view. The reels tick around and the player will have time to notice a win on the reels and a skillful player will be able to stop the reels on a win.

Rap It Up
This feature shows the player 3 different valued prizes on the alpha. Then these are hidden and moved around the text window quickly. The player has to follow the prizes around and then pick one. The object is to follow the highest of the three prizes and select it.

Grand Master Cash
This feature uses the cash pay table on the right hand side and gives the player a skill shot up and down those values.

Close 2 The Edge
Gives the player a hi/lo wager, if the player wins a bet then the next nudge square is moved to on the board and awarded. So the player starts on the 2 nudges square. If they win a bet then they go to the 3 nudges square and get the chance to wager again, which if they win go to th e4 nudge square and so on. There is no collect needed as they wager until they lose. When the player loses a bet, then the number of nudges obtained autonudge the reels to the best win, they don't actually lose the feature at this point, its just a mechanic to get them up to so many nudges.

Off Da Hook
This feature is a win series, again played out on the reels. The game automatically runs through a number of wins, which are all added to the players, win pot. The player will usually get a pretty decent cash prize from this feature.

HipHopoPotamus
The cash multipliers dapple around the board. The player stops one which is then shown on the alpha as a multipler. Then the cash multipliers are randomly offered one by one and the player stops on the one they want (i.e. the highest offered). This is then added to the alpha and the first multiplier is multiplied by the one stopped, and that amount is awarded as the win * stake. So if the player dapples onto 16 and then stops the offer on 100, the player wins 1600 * stake.
